What is Chickenpox?
Chickenpox is an infectious disease caused by the varicella-zoster virus. It spreads quickly through respiratory droplets or direct contact with the rash. Children are more prone to it, especially if not vaccinated. The illness starts with flu-like symptoms followed by a red, itchy rash that turns into fluid-filled blisters. While it is generally mild in children, adults can face more severe complications. Most people recover within a week or two, but isolation and hygiene are necessary to prevent its spread to others.
