What is Chronic Fatigue Syndrome?
Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, also known as Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (ME/CFS), is a complex, long-term disorder characterized by extreme fatigue that doesn’t improve with rest. It severely affects daily activities and often worsens after mental or physical exertion. While the exact cause is unknown, it is considered a serious and disabling condition requiring medical attention. Individuals with CFS may experience sleep abnormalities, chronic pain, and neurological impairments that last for months or even years, making routine tasks incredibly challenging and limiting independence.
