What is Multiple Sclerosis?
Multiple Sclerosis (MS) is an autoimmune disorder in which the immune system attacks the protective covering of nerve fibers, known as myelin. This leads to communication disruptions between the brain and the rest of the body. Over time, the disease can cause permanent damage to nerves, leading to disability. While MS symptoms and severity vary among individuals, early detection and proper management can help slow its progression and improve quality of life.
